Higher Daddy Higher
When my children were very young, I used to throw them a couple of feet above me into the air and catch them. They absolutely loved it and couldn’t get enough. ‘Again, Daddy, higher, higher’ they would cry in equal measures of excitement and terror. It is wonderful to see them do it now with their own children and I get to do it all again as a grandad -
Created in 35mm tubular steel, my “Higher Daddy Higher” sculpture seeks to capture the essence of those memories with its simplified linear and minimalist design.
